Ryan Garcia vs. Conor McGregor: Trash Talk and Truckloads of Cash

Ryan Garcia has taken issue with former UFC champion Conor McGregor after he roasted him this week on social media over his positive drug tests. He wants a “lifetime” ban on the Golden Boy-promoted fighter now. The two superstars could be heading to a big-money cash fight.

Speaking in a big brother-like way, McGregor reprimanded Ryan for not getting his head together, saying he’d “smash it in with elbows if you don’t.”

Ryan didn’t seem to care for the advice from McGregor, especially the threatening part, and bit back with this comment:

“I’m going to break your weak a** ankle. You ran from being tested bc you were on Roids.”

A boxing match between Ryan and McGregor would be an interesting one for fans, as it would attract a lot of interest and be more appealing than seeing Ryan run it back with Devin Haney again. No one wants to see that garbage after the way Garcia thrashed Devin last month on April 20th.

McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match in 2017 and gave him a competitive fight for the first five rounds before gassing out.

The event brought in a record 4.3 million PPV buys. Ryan Garcia vs. Conor McGregor would likely do huge numbers as well, making them both a ton of sweet, sweet money.

The PEDs? Who Cares! It’s All About the Show

A fight between Ryan and McGregor would do big numbers, and it doesn’t matter that Conor hasn’t fought in a boxing match in seven years. Fans would still want to see it due to the build-up with the trash-talking and the heavy promotion on social media.

McGregor had pushed Mayweather for a rematch all these years and has been ignored, but Ryan Garcia won’t turn down that fight. There’s too much cash that he can get from a fight against him rather than a pity rematch against Devin Haney that no one wants to see.

No one cares about the recent reports of Ryan testing positive for PEDs because they view it as him being set up to resurrect Haney’s fallen career. Ryan would be better off fighting McGregor for big dough and focusing on the pure 100% spectacle the fight would be. Yeah, it would be a circus but it’ll be fun.
